International Women's Day (8 March)

On 8 March 2021, International Women's Rights Day, the SFE trade recalls that despite the timid progress made on gender parity in the workplace, there are still significant differences (salaries, skills, etc.) between men and women.

How can it be justified that in 2021 women will earn less than men for the same job? How is it that we still need to do this recall sting every year?

This is a societal issue, and current events are constantly reminding us of it. Women are more prone to harassment than men (and they suffer from it too). The latter are more likely to be victims of touching, rape and even feminicide in the course of their lives.

This is a harsh reality that we must keep in mind. We need to free the words, accentuate gender equality and keep the legal and societal gains. Yes, there are always people who want to limit or even restore the society of strict patriarchy.

Let us remember all those women who are beaten and fight every day in the face of obscurantism, submission and silence in the face of odious acts.

This message is not the beginning of a fight between men and women, just an awareness!
